Case Studies and Generic Learner Biography

Two Case Studies and a Generic Learner Biography have now been added to the website to illustrate progress made in the project schools. Some new activities have also been added.

Visit by Rob Bell from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation

Rob Bell from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the funding agency for the Learner Identity project visited the International Learning and Research Centre and Trinity Primary School yesterday. We were pleased to discuss the progress of the project schools and the research findings from the project at the end of its two years.

Final Seminar

Thank you to all the project teachers, headteachers and Local Authority representatives who attended the final seminar. Thank you also to all the those who have contributed to this very successful project over the two years. Although the project has officially ended we are very glad that the good work started will continue in the majority of project schools.

Seminar 7 30 June 2010

Seminar 7 will take place on Wednesday 30 June at the International Learning and Research Centre.  Participants will be considering the Identity Zones with fewer activities - stories and communication - to plan tasks for next year.

Seminar 6 29 March 2010

At seminar 6 Learner Identity teachers brought new materials to upload to the website. We also produced practical guidance on establishing successful collaborative learning in the classroom based on project teachers' experience. The resulting document can be found here and in the Collaborative Frameworks section of the website.

Uploading task resources

Resources in the form of instructions and products from the trial of the tasks in the project schools are now being uploaded to the Identity Zones. The next seminar will take place on Monday 29 March when further resources will be collected from project teachers.

LI Website launch

The International Learning and Research Centre is proud to have launched the Learner Identity website to showcase one of its major curriculum projects. Over the coming months material will be added to the site as the schools participating in the project develop their practice.

Seminar 5

The fifth seminar for the project teachers took place on 19 January.  The new website was unveiled and teachers were able to see where the work they are doing in schools will be made available to all.
